Having had us undertake the solar PV installation on his home at the end of 2011, Mr Boothwright was aware of the financial benefits of solar PV. The opportunity to site a much larger system on his business property was too good to be missed.
Businesses in particular really benefit from solar PV as the electricity usage is much higher meaning the savings on electricity bills can almost match the cash income paid by the government for the units of electricity produced by the system.
Our brief was to maximise the system size whilst sourcing panels that were both efficient, reliable and cost effective. We are always fair with our pricing and do not look to take a share of the investment return, something that may take place when larger system sizes are quoted which are capable of higher annual yields and consequently higher income returns. We learned that our quote was significantly lower than competitors.
The system is also forecast to save 97,000 tonnes of CO2 over 30 years, the green credentials are therefore equally rewarding and send out a positive message about a business’ attitude to corporate responsibility.
